Our public forcing the withdrawal of troops was the battle that the NVA won. That's literally exactly what they wanted the TET Offensive to lead to. We completely obliterated the NVA during the TET offensive, but by allowing the TET Offensive to occur we lost the war, not militarily, but socially. That is still losing. It was their strategy and their strategy worked brilliantly. That's why the TET Offensive is hilarious and ironic, to this day we claim we won. I laugh out loud at the thought. The "myth" died in Vietnam statement is absolute proof of their success in said propoganda, it was so effective that even today when it is clear that we completely dominated the NVA in every battle fought in the war, including the TET Offensive, that people believe our military superiority was proven questionable at that time. In reality you would think the Korean War would be a better demonstration of how we aren't invincible when you consider that even the Marines (while they escaped nobly, literally taking ALL their dead and injured and even taking abandoned US Army equipment so the enemy couldn't get it) had to run. I am a left wing political activist, but Im in the army (dichotomy? lol) And both militarily and journalistically that article is greatly false. Disagreeing with evidence and putting it down to "media bias" is no way to argue. I could say that the idea that London is the capital of the U.K is false and down to "Media bias"; that does not make it false in reality.

lol what are you smoking? The objective of the Tet offensive was to destroy American and South Korean positions by taking them completely by surprise. The Tet Offensive started on a Christmas during which there was a temporary cease fire agreed to by both sides in celebration. The North Vietnamese violated the cease fire agreement in order to take us by surprise. But things soon turned around and we destroyed them. I've heard that many North Korean commanders thought they were going to lose the war right there. And yes we did lose in Vietnam, because of stupid protesters who made a huge deal out of it and many of whom completely disrespected the troops and the government. What a morale boost eh? Fuck stupid protesters. Also dumb politically correct politicians wouldn't let us win. For example, just before serious American military involvement began, the North Vietnamese were buying AA guns and missles from the Russians and Chinese, and the commies had sent advisors to help the North Vietnamese set these guns up. So, certain politicians did not want to authorize bombing of airfields or bases in Vietnam for fear that they may kill a Chinese guy or a Russian and cause a conflict with those nations. As a result the North Vietnamse were able to set up their positions and such to get ready. We did lose in Vietnam, but that does not mean that the US is not the most powerful nation in the world. In fact, it is. And wtf are u talking about about Korea? We were completely winning in Korea until the Chinese decided to get in on the war on the North Koreans' side and sent over 8 MILLION troops to push us back. Then we were pushed back to the "middle" of Korea and a cease fire was declared with Korea divided pretty much evenly between North and South. That war never really ended, at least not in a treaty. It's still in a cease fire today while talks go on to this day. In Iraq we are winning. Over 20,000 insurgents and terrorists have been killed. Many places where terrorists used to run rampant are now secure or almost secure. We took out the dictator and we made sure there were no WMD's. We established a new govt. and helped Iraq make a constitution. Many of our objectives in Iraq are complete, and we are indeed winning. How the hell does terrorists killing 4000 US troops, which is about 2% of the total number, shatter the "myth" of America's invincibility? ROFL

Not exactly, I mean the Brits did just stand there in a line and shoot.... if we were cowardice then what the fuck was wrong with them?
