I don't know how you can tell which are being monitored, but I think it would be best if you set your computer (or just BitComet) to use a proxy server. That way, your IP address would be traced incorrectly and some fool in a third world country would get the copyright infringement notice.

I'd tell you how to do that, but I have no clue how it'd work on a PC.
