Damn Plastik.

I'd never bothered to read this before, as confidence is something I don't lack.  But yeah, good advice.

And it describes me perfectly.

Would it exactly work for some people?  Theres alot of people that I know who I haven't even talked to practically over the whole year so wouldn't they think its kind of wierd for me to be saying hi as they walk by or vise versa?

Just wanted to add this - I just put it on another topic, so it's simply copied:

Yeah, I'd give it a try with qualification:

Do it, but not with EVERYONE you see. Just try and say - I dunno - 10 "hi"s or something depending on how long your journey is. Or perhaps say 5 "hi"s in between each class plus a "hi" to one person on your way into the classroom. It's a bit different with people you know, but still a good idea.

Also, next time you're in a cafe or the mall or something, just try going up to someone who you think is attractive and just try telling them they have a really nice smile that you couldn't help but noticve and you just wanted to tell them that. That's it. No chatting them up or anything. Just that. You'll probably never see them again, so what harm can it do?

Or when you're shopping fro something try asking someone you like if they can make a recommendation. I mean, it doesn't have to be something you want - just pretend you're interested in something they're looking at and have a short chat with them about what they think.

Chat to a cashier next time you're buying something. Ask them if they've got whatever it is, or if they use / read / whatever it.

Just little things like this ionce a day or whatever can help you to start building up the confidence you need to realise people aren't really all that scary.

Hope this helps you a bit
-Brit.

And if you have trouble sticking to these things, try getting a friend who will help you and make sure you do them. Make a list of what you're going to do today and check them off.

And a really good friendly, but subtle ice breaker is to just raise your eyebrows at someone as you make eye contact - it's a well recognised and friendly was to say "Hey, I'm pleased to see you", even when you don't actually know someone :)

wow if you lived in my area you would not say that. Because people are as scary as they look around here.

I live in the bay area and in some poverty areas you have no idea what it's like if you think everyones friendly and out to help boost confidence :).

Yes...you have a point. I went to school for 7 years in a poverty area at a government comprehensive...you know, where people come back from morning break half-stoned and often never return from lunch break....I was sort of thinking about NOW, in the sane world, at college.... Sorry.

GET SOME GODDAMN BALLS AND THROW THE MACK DOWN ON THAT HOTTIE...

haha but if only it was as easily done as said.  Just think of it this way, if some random chic came up to you and said, I think you have the greatest smile, you're cute, wouldn't that make your day?  You have the power to make someone's day like that, so go do it.  Be loud, or be mysterious, but if you're being mysterious make sure you're being loud while you're at it.  Don't get it in your head that people don't want to talk to you.

If you see a cute girl sitting by herself, don't sit two chairs next to her and debate on whether or not you should take to her.  Your chance is blown in that case.  Stand right on front of her and ask, "you mind if i sit here? I could use some company..".  They'll love it

Okay opinions people.  Does confidence have a direct correlation to one's penis size?  Is this why black people always seem so cocky and asians are always reserved?  AHAHAH what lovely stereotypes.  Its a serious question though.

Whys that, my stereotyping or the question?  The question is serious, the stereotyping is just that, a stereotype rooted in truth.  I love stereotyping, its so useful.

Thats exactly why the size of a guy's penis is not easily visible. i haven't got anything to tell you about the whole stereotypes thing but i'm pretty sure confidence does have a direct correlation to a guy's penis size.

Imagine guys having to deal with a girl's dilemma on breast size. You can't really hide your natural breast size -unless you go with padding or surgery. and breasts are on display 24-7. unless you live in the north pole and you wear tons and tons of clothes.

If a guy's genitals were located in that obvious a place they'd all be rushing off to surgery to get expensive attachments/enlargements.

and the male race would be doomed, they can't deal with that kind of pressure. see what its doing to the girls already?

We only care about our size because of women.  Blame it on the tetons.

"Males only care about size because of women"

"Females naturally do not care about size." (yes I know there are some that do, but thats only because males stress over size, the idea gets passed on superficially to the female)

Conclusion? Males are deluding themselves into thinking size is an issue females care about.

Females do not care about size. Males care about size. The dominant strong man gets all the women.

what does a dominant male have a weaker male doesn't have? Penis size. Men are linking two almost unrelated things together. Males need size to feel strong and dominant. When they're like that it attracts women. stop crossing the lines over. Males care about size, females don't. Its a personal issue in males females don't say much about it.
