 Mine did that twice, a while back... when I was doing some seriously heavy editing (it's not exactly a new computer) it restarted completely on its own.  

 Only when I was really pushing it, though. It might be your game. Since it's brand new, I'm kinda doubting that it's a virus.

Hm. How about your graphics module? If it's a stock unit, built into the motherboard, and you're using high-res display settings, it could be overloading the  processor.

If your playing a game every time, my guess is that your overheating it.

nope just got a new one ... umm yesterday but i did just have the built in one

Take the case off and just by hand feel the air inside the case as to how hot it is and then touch the heatsinks.. Don't touch anything on boards as you short out components.

Now current gen stuff gets pretty toasty anyway, but the thermal paste on an old video card of mine evaporated and dispersed off over time. I know it's new but could have happened while sitting on a shelf or maybe you were unlucky and got a bad one. Anyway that was really hot and I took it out, put some new stuff on there and worked like a charm. Had similar problems with restarting but was also getting BSODs.

Just say you'll never purchase from them again and that you wan't a PSU that can actually handle modern systems.

What are the specs by the way ?

I'd imagine it's just because if it's a cheapo brand. I have a CM 350W PSU and that is fine with mine, which is a lot of top of the line stuff from early last year.

Check your power settings. Right click desktop, hit properties tab, click the power button. Make sure your computer isn't shutting off after a certain time. Make sure it's not hibernating, or standbying, or anything. Check all the settings in the power tab, and that should work.

That would be fairly difficult considering whist playing a game, you are constantly moving the mouse. It could be any number of things, but my guess is, you're running out of memory. If it were overheating, it wouldn't just turn off. The motherboard would start beeping short quick beeps, then it would kill the power.

I still go with my overheating mention.
Some computers are set various ways to react to overheating. When some intel chips hit 160^F they will automatically restart the computer for example. Other chipsets and updates will all react differently.
I would get a program and see how hot your hardware is really running.

Intel chips will give a warning if they are over heated by making a beeping noise. If it was over heated an she tired to start her computer, the chip would beep. If that's not happening, then its not the processor.

To give you a piece of mind, see if the fan on the back is running. If it is then we can rule out the over heating.

One thing if you could answer, is there any error message that you get when it restarts? Usually windows restarts to save itself before something goes wrong.

Here's a few things you should try first.

Run your computer normally, not opening the game at all. If your computer doesn't shut down after an hour or so of being on we can rule out the game.

If it is the game, then there may be a corrupted file or something that doesn't run properly. If that's the case, install and reinstall the game. If you still have problem well then you might want to do a system restore.

Check this first before posting again. If there is still problems, I will give you more info on how to run a system restore.

well the fan is always running .. and i already knew it wasn't that ... and not that my dad changed some settings it hasn't restarted at all game running or not .... so i think we have the problem fixed ... but i'll let you know if it starts doing it again
