Code:

shutdown -i

will initiate the remote shutdown dialogue box.  However, in Windows 98, it appears that this command doesn't work (on the computers in my school anyway).  Does anyone know the equivalent, or the reason why this command isn't working?

And while you're at it, any other fun DOS commands you can think of?  By 'fun' I mean 'annoying for any supervisor who may be in charge of a class at the time'.

The "shutdown" command is only available for XP. You can use a batch file for the previous versions:

Hehe definitely use netsend.  It will send a message to everyone on the network.  I forget the syntax, though.  Google that shiznat.

As mentioned above: Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows 2003 uses the same method (via the "NET SEND" - command ).
Note: the option "NET SEND" is NOT available in Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows Me.
