tattoo/symbol

There is this tattoo, that I'd assume is a symbol, that I have seen on two people and I've always wondered what it meant/what it was called or whatever...

its like 3 of the same shape (that kind of look like raindrops or something) all conjoined in a circular formation...I know that is a totally sucky description, but it has been bothering me for days...

Oh and the points are facing outward, I think...
