I've set up my proper email today at http://www.gmx.com and have configured it to work with my thunderbird program. but i'm wanting to start using instant messengers like windows live messenger. I've installed it but it wants me to register another email with @live or @hotmail.

I'm happy with my gmx email, and the email i would want at live or hotmail is allready taken.

so can anyone tell me how i can use my gmx email with a instant messenger?

just try sign in with it, if it doesnt work its not compatible

Unfortunately, you must use a hotmail, passport, msn or windows live email to use windows messenger.
