The main details of my computer are...

368 MB RAM
1.20 GHz AMD processor (Yes, it's a plain old AMD with no extension)
No DVD drive

Which distribution of Linux is right for me?

go ubuntu. it's easy to install and not very memory-intensive.

Since you are new to Linux (as I guess as you said distro) I recommend Ubuntu or one of its variants (as seen on http://www.ubuntu.com/).

I was happy with LinuxMint before I switched to Mandriva.  LinuxMint is built off Ubuntu (shares many repositories), and has many things pre-installed.

But since you are running on old hardware I would go with Xubuntu (at http://www.ubuntu.com/).  Meant to run on lighter hardware and still be functional.

I think you'd probably like Ubuntu or Linux Mint.  They're both pretty new user friendly, have decent support, and have plenty of capabilities.  And..a decent selection of random games to get addicted to, such as Mahjong.

Personally, I like Linux Mint better mainly because of the layout, and added wireless support.

It's all about what fits better.  Try a few different live CD's and see which feels better.

try out the live cd's and look up pictures of the different distros. i've had slax linux run on a 450mhz computer with 96 mb of ram and the computer had very little videoram because it was shared. the computer is almost ten years old. it booted the live cd but was really slow soo if it could run on that then you should be alright but you might not be able to view the gui but hey its better to learn the command line anyways.
