I'm worried about my bf's mental health

He claims he has an "imaginary friend" with a name i cant rememmber and communicats w it once a month all it is is a vioce in his head and it was teh reason he asked me out because he didnt want to but his imaginary friedn wanted him to and it yelled @ him to ask me out... idk i thought u were crazy if you heard voices inside ur head he is unique but doesnt seem crazy should i call the mental hospital?!?!?!?

This could be a sign of schizophrenia or even a form of Borderline Personality Disorder. If it's BPD it's something you'll be able to help him with, schizophrenia is much more serious.

Does he go through quick mood swings?

it wasnt meant to be funny i was wondering if he was copying donnie darko with the rabbit...not dying and ive got a friend who does the imaginary friend thing cuz hes had it since he was tiny and shes just always been there i wouldnt worry bout it too much unless he does like donnie darko things and burns down a house

he is sometimes anti-social he is alittle unsanitary but i mean he showers moer than once a week and all he has emotions but often doesnt express them he does laugh 4 no reason a lot he has low concentarion sometimes but i think thats cause he has been diagnosed w ADD and is in special education 4 it.  he really does not seem to be schizophrenic
