The otter trainer there works part time at my job and said she'd talk to them for me.
It's nothing to do with having connections.
It's more like law. They can't risk the liability.
There's no liability in being a tour guide. I've been talking to this girl for the past 2 weeks about it; I'm sure she knows what she's talking about...
Good luck, just don't get your hopes up really high. It doesn't matter who is talking to them for you, if someone else comes along that they like more... They'll hire them instead.

I'm aware, and my hopes aren't up. I already have a job with animals that I really like, I just thought it'd be neat to see fish all day.

I'm not talking about a volunteer job. I'm speaking of an actual paying job at the aquarium working with the animals. Which I assumed is what you'd want to do.
I would WANT to work with with animals, but I am well aware I have no....aquatic animal training. I do, however, have no problem working as a tour guide and just looking at all the pretty fish all day.
