I have healthy teeth with no cavities in any of adult teeth. But I've noticed that my teeth have gotten yellowish lately. It's not as if my yellowish teeth are showing up in pictures, so actually, I'm worried that any sort of whitening procedure will make my teeth abnormally white (some people I know have gotten monstrously white teeth because of bleaching).

So what do you think?

Just use a whitening toothpaste, or a commercial whitener. Before going heavy duty with it.

try brushing alot more, but if that doesnt work than yeah get them whitened, but taking care of your teeth really should be your first step

before you go the extreme whitening route... i think you should take some of the suggestions already offered...
schedule a cleaning with your dentist, or switch to a whitening toothpaste... or brush with a bit of baking soda (tastes like shit... but works like a charm)!
