Definitely a computer, you can do so much more with it. PS3 unfortunately doesn't have anywhere near as good games as it should, although Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid will change that hopefully.

well the ps3 has online so i would do that but i like the 360 better than ps3 so yeah

Server for what? If it's an HTTP server you want, get a PS3 and install Linux on it. Best value for money by far. Added bonus of a media centre also.

build the pc. THe ps3 is not worth the money. Hell I had one and it ended up being a very expensive dvd player.
