it depends where you go. im at cardiff, and most halls had shared bathrooms but some had your own. i had an en suite. nobody had to share a bedroom though, ever.

It depends on where you go. Most places offer a variety of choices, the cheapest being a single room with shared bathrooms. The most expensive being something with an ensuite. At Nottingham you could apply for a large room, a normal room with shared bathrooms, and then there was also a choice with shared bathroom between two people. There was also a shared ensuite and ensuite option.

Where I live, en suites are apparently becoming common. Where I want to go to uni, they're pretty rare and expensive. Luck of the draw, really.

100% dependant on where you go. GENERALLY speaking. Most universities with hall accommodation offer single rooms with shared facilities (bathroom, kitchen/kitchenet, tv room, library - depending on size of hall/flat). Usually universities offer a limited number of rooms with en suites. They also usually offer some shared rooms for those who want to share their experience or want to save money. Usually catered and non-catered options are available. It varies between universities, but that is their general offering.
