My cousin has aspergers and if that happened here there would be a moral uproar. Aspergers is recognised as a disability and allowances should be made and accommadated for.

None? I can remember biting someone when I was about five because I 'hated' them and they were playing with my favourite toy. I'm sure if I had been offered the chance to vote them out of the class I would have done just to be able to have the toy to myself.

I worked with young kids for a while, and they were constantly falling out. I'm sure if most children was told to say something nasty against another child by a teacher they would.

Reasonable accommodations can be made, I am not against that.  This is nothing but kids being kids.  My Dad has one leg and had sugary on his other knee to replace the kneecap recently.  He still does more work than anyone I know and he does it without bitching.

Assburgers I don't even believe is a real illness.  Ditto with ADHD OR ADD.  Some kids are hyper, some kids are quiet.  No need to makeup an illness.

And the point of that is...? While I am glad that your dad is capable of working, I still don't see where this idea that disabled people 'bitch' about their disabilities is coming from. I know quite a few disabled people and none of them 'bitch' about it.

And making him stand in front of the class... there is NOTHING worse to a child than the disdain of your peers.

I feel awful for that poor child.
