how do you get static on the phoneline to go away? and how do you fix a loose connection on a phone jack on the wall. i see 4 connectors inside the jack they are circle shaped and i have one very loose in it how do you tighten it back up without breaking it? because this problem is causing me to have very low conection speeds!

When we put DSL into our house way back in the day the phones would be all static. We had these little things that plugged into the wall, then into the phone that was supposed to make it stop..

Wasn't that helpful? >_<

I have no idea...it's weird because there could be tons of things wrong with it...it could be the jack the connector or whatever you'r plugging it in to...and fixing them confuses the hell out of me

Yes, filters placed on all jacks that phones are used on will keep high frequencies that DSL uses separated from the lower voice frequencies for the phone, and get rid of the horrid noise you're hearing.
