Most places here you need to be 18 years old to get a piercing.
Those piercings don't hurt much. The nose piercing remains sore for a short while, but it's not bad. There are saline products you can buy (specifically, H2Ocean) that help with pain and make cleaning much easier.

Do you have to be 18 to get it on your own, or could you have a parent's permission/let them sign for you?

A ton of people have their nose pierced, and I know this guy who got his lip, eyebrow, and tounge pierced all in one day.

You can have parental permission, if you're under 18. Few places won't do piercings even if you have parental consent, and a lot won't do tattoos even if you have parental consent either. Piercings are easier.

They're a little blurry because I'm a crappy picture taker, but those are my two new piercings.  Nothing crazy, but I think they're really cute, I love it.

I'm debating one or both sides, just for job convenience.
I've been wanting them done for years though, but when I did see Pixie for the first time on Miami Ink, it helped sell them to me for good. I love the way hers look on her.

I just got my second ear piercing, and I love how ixi did her cartilage, so I'm thinking on that one. I'm desperate now for my nose to get pierced.

No ink as of yet, have to wait two years still so I'm naturally considering what to get so I don't regret my decision :).
