my college is located in a not so great area, it's in the city, so it's not the safest place. my parents are being really strict about it-- i can't wear shorts or tank tops, etc, things like that. it really isn't a great place, there have been cases of attacks and rape, robbery, etc. it's not a bad school, just a bad area. the thing is there are lots of activities i want to join that happen at night, 9/10 ish but they won't let me allow because of the time. i'm not even allowed to hang out with friends in their apartments or dorms because of the location. what can i do to convince them it's ok and i'll be safe? help help help. i live at home, it's not an option to move out so don't tell me to live outside. thanks
