atcually avast is not a good virus scanner.. if you wanna get rid of any types of viruses.. you avg for sure.. it works well and it detects viruses right away and cleans them automatically for you and also download a spyware program called ewidoanti spyware it works wonders.. you just have to set the settings up and make sure the resident sheild is protected at all times and make sure you run scans all the time.. and it also does that for you and tells you that your fully protected at all times

Yeh, avast is good, i use it on all my computers, runs great, it's not using 20-%30 of my processor power, like Norton, lol.

I think that pop-up is the Virus itself, i think it's Win32-Zlob (family).

It's normally recieved via World of Warcraft or Runescape.

I suggest you to download something like Ad-Aware (don't know is it free)
It's one of the lava soft progs which deletes spyware like you have got, normal anti virus progs doesn't help to delete spyware
I'll try to find for you that ad aware

Yea, ad-aware is free (thats how i got mine) I am not sure if this is the right site but I think that it goes something like this http://www.freedownlaod.com or http://www.freedownloads.com
