I have my speakers plugged in and i know that they work because i can here the little "bleep" type noise when i click on something, but when i try to play games or music i cant here anything. Also when i go into the sound controll pannel it says i dont have any speakers but i knwo that they are plugged in. How do i get them to work again, ythanks for your help.

four things that could be wrong

1.speaker not conected probaly
2.cable has broken
3.the pc conection has broken
4.not loud enough

to test pc conection oput earphones in to test cables on speakers put them in somthing else.

true it should be in the green one. unless it has been all muddeld up by the maker. Simply try each one till you get it rhiht and if there is one in the front i sudjest you try that one

The beep soound is probably coming from your built-in PC speaker.

Right click on "My computer" go to properties, Hardware, Device manager, sound and audio devices, and see if your card is showing up on the list.

You need to get your sound cards CD, or if your sound card is built-on to your mainboard, the mainboard CD.

Turn off your computer
Reconnect the sound card(if you have one that is replaceable.)
Reconnect the wires for the speakers
turn the speakers on
Turn computer on then voila

im sorry i didnt say, it was all working yesterday, and i havnt taken them out, it has just started now and i dont know why, i did get this random error message yesterday and i told the computer to "debud" it, then the computer worked fine but the speakers didnt, and im pretty sure the error wasnt to do with sound
