Hmm, yes, I'm "wanting it to crash" so I can waste my time restarting it.

It has crashed opening images in iPhoto and ripping and playing tracks in iTunes. Please note the CD being used had no copy protection so its not the fault of the CD producer.

I don't want it to crash, I'm just posting what I see. I get annoyed with people telling me they don't crash when I know full well they do.

I am not "hiding anything from you, nor am I doing anything wrong. I do know how to use them thanks. I was repairing Mac's before I even owned one.

OK, please for the love of god tell me what you pay the money for then. If the hardware is cheap as chips and off the shelf then it must be the OS. But wait, OSX is only $129. Hmm, perhaps it could be that you are being ripped off.

You say the OS is great and doesn't crash, you say its the hardware. Yet for some reason you seem o be paying a awful lot for it. If a computer costs this much just for the looks i think you missed the point of computers.

If its crashing you need to get it fixed because theres obviously something wrong with it.

There is nothing wrong with it. The hardware is working fine and the OS is a fresh install with only fairly standard apps installed on it. All i am pointing out os that system conflicts and crashes do happen under a Mac.

And Apple is very, very bad about forcing you to buy exclusively their stuff, from the hardware to the software.

You have to use whatever brand of RAM, Hard drive, CPU, motherboard, etc that THEY choose. And then they have the nerve to charge you extra for it. And of course EVERYTHING defaults to their software. Trust me, Apple is far worse about that kind of thing than Microsoft ever was.

At least on a PC I can choose my hardware, and from what source (thus cutting costs down for me, the consumer).

I hada "IMac" thing, i got it for my friend as a present, i wanted to test it. It crashed within 2 minutes of startup (I do not know why). THen crashed (after freezing) from just browsing the web.

i hear you my crashed mac brother. The macs at my school. (see one to one program at apple) broke more in two years, then in the 10 years i've used windowz. acctually, it breaks more in a month than in 10 years on windows.
