One, there is no such thing as "a" linux. It is linux. Two, why the hell would you want to switch to a Mac? For one, its not just a decision you make out of the blue "Oh, I think Im going to download the Mac OS and install it"
You have to have your hard drive formatted a special way, and you have to have the disk prepared right for it to work.
Then, you install it, and deal with all the bugs, because your computer isnt designed for it.
I would advise not to switch to a Mac out of my personal hatred, but if you must, at least do it the right way and go drop $1200 on one.
Edit:
Yes, it is possible to install the Mac OS on a PC, but you have to pirate the disk, and do alot of prep. It does not work right unless you have an Intel CPU, and even then it is buggy.
