I've used Macs before... and I *really* don't like them. I mean sure they're sort of pretty, but other than that....

Well, everyone bundles shit with their product. I mean, think of it this way. If you have the choice of throwing in a text file viewer, sound player, and video player on your standard package, or NOT, which has more appeal to the broad market? Most users use WMP because it's already there. If they had to download something, they might handle it, but they also might just fail.

listen man i like microsoft n stuff BUT i find it extremely funny that a Mac can run Windows Vista much smoother than a windows PC. performance is better all around and the start up time is fast

WMP itself isn't a horrible player. Just the fact that you need a trillion codecs to run a simple video.
I've never had many problems... but that's only because MS has the power to mass market WMP, and thusly, people begin using it. Now that people use it widely enough, I rarely come in contact with a condec I don't have. I don't downloda too many movies though, so that would be it.

If I had to choose between an Apple OS and a Microsoft OS, I'll probably choose the Apple one. I'd still prefer Linux since it's open, secure, stable and featureful.
