I found a Palm Pilot my parents bought a few years ago, 'cause they had rebates. They never did have any real use for them. So I got it out and started fiddling around with it. Its model is m100, as far as I can tell.

Anyone know how I can configure it to get internet access? I know it can, 'cause I've been through all of its applications and found where to connect, but if you saw my laptop post, you know I'm not real tech savvy.

You'll need either a serial cable for it, or a PPP modem. Either way, those things are virtually useless on the internet. I do believe they have a 2MB capacity, and a 16MHz processor. Cool however, the processor is called something like a Dragonball EZ.

Anyway, it's not really worth the cash it'd cost to buy the equipment for such an old piece of hardware. Use it as an organiser ^_^

I just looked it up, it requires a separate device to connect to the internet.

OOOOH!

If you want to try and be a God, buy an IR transmitter/reciever for your computer/laptop, and share your active internet connection with the IR device as a network connection, then you need to try and get PalmOS to jump through the right hoops when the two are sync'd together.

If you want to explore that idea further, then let me know. But it is getting on for a bit hardcore, and you still need to buy an IR device.
