I dont think age matters at all. i am 13 years old & i was dating this guy that was 16. but now that we broke up its harder than having an exboyfriend your age. so think ahead. hope this works. (:

I think in teen years it does. but beyond teens no. Because there is a major difference in wants in those few years of being a teen 18-13 not ok 17-18 ok 15-18 pushing it

when you are a teenager, I do believe that you should stick to your own age. For one, you can get in trouble if you are under 18 and dating someone over the age of 18.
Also, if you are young and dating someone who is older, you will be more inclined to try to act older than your age and act more grown up. You're a teenager, enjoy it. I'm no hypocrit, I'm 18 and my boyfriend is 19, but seeing people who try to grow up too fast makes me sad. You don't get a second chance to be young.
i think an appropriate age diff is 3 year, like me and a friend who may go out

It's a weird line. Like in teen years I think the biggest gap souldn't be more than maybe like 4 years. But once you are in your 20's and 30's it doesn't matter as much and the gap widens.
I like two guys and they are bothe 18. 4 year difference. However they are able to talk to me without giggling and being silly. Girls, mentaly to mature faster which is why we tend to like older guys.
I say if it's right and they older party is willing to wait to you until it's leagal, go for it.
Check out the wikipedia page. Dont know what its called but it has a graph on whats socially acceptable and how the age difference gets more lax as people get older. I personally had a five year age difference and it made me want to date people my age haha. But ya know, alot of guys are immature so girls go for older guys and blablabla. People just need to be able to sacrifice things, give and take, in a relationship. And that doesnt mean the younger person having sex because the older one is ready. .-.

Obviously the biggest factor in an age gap relationship is maturity. I know a guy who's 18 and a sophmore in college because he's super smart and VERY mature. Girls from his college are all over him, even senior college girls. I think this perfectly acceptable because they're practically on the same level.
I think if a 10 year-old was super mature it would be ok for her to date a 17 year-old guy. Of course, this would instantly brand him as a child molester, but were not talking about society's labeling now are we. :P

idk i have mixed feelings about this..its something ive been experiencing myself for years now b/c i like older boys. i think that if you care about that person and as long as it isnt illegal it shouldnt matter. but sometimes two ppl are just in different places in there lives which is when age does play a factor. : (
age doesn't really matter...i dated this guy who was 11 yrs older ...i was 16 he was 27
