staying close to age is the most right answer.
if it is love then its love...age dont matter.
older guys/girls tend to be more manipulative, so watch out if the age difference is more than 3 years.

i think age only matter is someone has a relationship with someone double their age. Like a 15 year old goes of with someone in late twenties.

But if its like 14 and your seeing a 16-18 year old, then its ok.

I'm not sure if this is in this thread, but I heard this little guideline once that I thought was kinda neat: Older person's age / 2 + 7 is the cutoff for the acceptable cutoff age for dating.

For example, an 18 year old shouldn't date younger than 16, 25 shouldn't date younger than 19.5, 30 would be 22, etc.

Obviously just something that someone made up, but I think it expresses the societal belief that the older you get, the wider the accepted age gap is.

I think age doesnt matter, it's whats inside the head that counts. for example, on your 16th birthday, you dont wake up "knowing how to drive." you have to LEARN. when you're 1, you dont wake up one day knowing how to walk. YOU HAVE TO LEARN. I think its stupid when people say that age is SOOOO important. my boyfriend and I are two years apart, my parents are 10 yrs apart & my sister & brother in law are 6.

My boyfriends three months younger than me, and it really doesn't matter. But if he was like a year or something younger, I think it would bother me a little.

Um, I think it depends on how old you are... Like in high school, or in school (that's not college) in general, I think the age difference at most can be like 2 years...

But once you're in the real world, why should we let age define love? Love is so much greater than that, and if you think narrow mindedly, well, then you won't be able to get the most out of a relationship...
