I went with a guy for more than 2 years. I was 12 and he was 15. We broke up 2 months ago..he turned 18 in march and i turned 15 this may..we were 3 years apart and it didnt seem to matter until ppl used the law when they said it was wrong. I personaly think that if you really do love someone that age doesnt matter. But if it's just for sex..then your pathetic and ot's wrong

i wouldnt date any more than 2yrs older than me...but 4 a younger gurl they should stay with an age close 2 theirs but i feel that once u get older then the age can differ a llittle more..

honstly if your in love and if you know that hes or she is the right one then go for it, i don't think age really matters but its up to the person and how they feel about older or younger

well 16 adn 18 isnt that much of an age differance my ex was 18 and i was 14 and i think if your ready then you should go for it just make sure that hes in it for the right things and dont let your age get in the way or it could be a problem

I think age matters to a point. Obviously no older person should be involved with young kids. The tricky thing is to pin point what age is acceptable, and what isn't, because people mature at different ages and can handle sexually mature relationships at different times. I think the age of consent being eighteen is an understandable law, but shouldn't be so harsh when dealing with people just below the age limit (like 16 and 17). I think that if two people are mature, there shouldn't be a problem with age difference. I'm seventeen, and my boyfriend is quite a few years older then me. :] It's probably the most understanding, loving relationship and we are completely compatible, regardless of age.

Age matters when you're young - as in, dating someone over 20 when you yourself are in high school would be bad - but as you get older, I think it matters less and less.
