I have both pc and a mac. The PC runs Windows 2000 Pro and the Macintosh has dual-boot (Mac OS 9.1 and Mac OS X).

I dont think some of this system are better than the others, thats depending on what you want to do. My opinion is that all three OS are very stable and almost never crash.

The reasons for PC is that it's much better for gaming and that some applications only work there.

Macs has instead great multimedia functions for example music and video-editing. I even like the style in Mac OS, especially OS X.

Forget Windows... OS X 10.3 all the way! Dual 1.8ghz G5, Dual 17" Apple displays, Radeon 9600 Pro, 160GB HD, 1gb of ram!

I also have a Linux box, that's a Pentium 4 1.8Ghz with 1gb of ram, GeForce FX 5200 Ultra, 80gb HD, 17" Sony CRT monitor - runs SuSE 9 Pro.

I only run Windows in VMware on my Linux box (2k Pro) - for the rare apps I need to use that *require* Windows.

I have a copy of every windows O/s (yes even windows 1 - small enough to install on a floppy rofl) and I have a copy of most Linux/BSD Distro's, I run XP Pro, no service packs, custom ntoskernel on this comp, I have FreeBSD 4.8 as my other main O/s (when I rebuild the box) and also regularly rotate distro's on my other boxes.
