I like MacOS X. It combines Mac and Unix; my laptop is Mac OS X.

I have another (older computer) that uses Linux (Red Hat based). I like the philosophy behind Linux more than the system itself.

I use Windows XP on this box, and i've got a couple of Red Hat boxes set up as web/file servers. I've used Gentoo Linux in the past, but it wasn't too good. I'm assuming the newer builds now are better and more stable.

I'd use Linux on my main machine, but regular usage programs, like messengers and things don't tend to be as functional on linux.

Wow... that is sad.  Messengers don't tend to be functional?  I've yet to have a problem and I've been using Linux for years.  Try gaim (gaim.sf.net), or try searching for a real like.  KDE provides a good one now too.

G4 DP 1.25- 10.3.x
G4 iBook 800- 10.3.x
HP laptop (broken kinda)- Knoppix
PC Server- Darwin (most recent)
G4 867 tower- 10.3.x

I used to use Windows XP Pro, I can't stand home because it's lacking, and doesn't support multiple processors. Before that I was happy with Win2K and Redhat. OS X is lightyears beyond OS 9
