Most Canon digicams have the color accent feature. 5 MP is enough if you do not want to print at high quality much bigger than 8x10 in. or so. And if you do not intend to do a lot of cropping out small portions of a picture to make a new picture.
Action shots require:
Fast performance, Shutter Speed adjustment, Fast Autofocus, Fast Burst mode, Low noise at higher ISO, High telephoto zoom (300 mm or more).
