ok this might seem like a dumb question, but ive been wondering how to do this. how do you make a smiley face in a txt? cuz when i go to symbols in the scrolldown menu they dont have the symbols needed to make it. if you dont know what im talking about i mean this: :) or this =) i have verizon by the way

I've had Verizon since 2004 and my phones always had those symbols.

I've never had the icons of that sort. I use Sprint or Nextel.
