Anyone else have problems like this I'm stuck currently with state insurance meaning I can't get a job paying more then 400 or I lose it, and my seizure meds are 700 a month, and getting normal insurance is next to impossible.

Here's what I know.

1) If you manage to get accepted for a decent paying job, and have to loose your state insurance, loose it.  I believe, however, don't fully quote me on this, that Medicaid is $2k or lower for eligibility.  This would be a better option, and if you are eligable and can add on SSI, your even more ahead (you might be able to obtain SSI, check with your Social Security administration in your county/region).

2) Try and get a different drug.  There's literally hundreds of anti-convulsants out on the market, and a good percentage of the time, you will be just fine under another drug.  I personally take Trileptal for my epilepsy, and it has just went generic within the past 4 months, give or take.  There's other generics out on the market as well, read up online and have a talk with your doctor.

3) There's various aid and support programs, generally funded by your county.  If you have any near you, talk to them, they might be able to assist in funding as well.

4) If you try for any of these options, having another disability gets you higher up in eligibility.  Not saying you do/don't, I just want to make that a clear fact.
