Sadly, last school year, in the 2nd semester, I had to be in an entire clas of kids with Aspergers. I hated them all. It was like hell! One of them thought I was his friend until I told him that I wasn't. Although I tried by saying it in the nicest way. But.....UGH!!! One was a tottal SPAZ, one person hardly EVER shaved, I think most of them had really bad hygein (The room smelt so bad!!), and everything in the stupid-ass class I already knew! And what was really stupid, the class had 3 teachers! One of them(He was in that room on Tuesdays and Thursdays), at the begining of the class, did this stupid circle of desks thing and asked us "How are you this moring?" and MY GOD, it was annoying(Both the teacher and the circle thing)!
You make people with Aspergers sound horrible. They're not. One of my best friends has Aspergers and he's glorious beyond all reason. Maybe you just had a sucky class, people with Aspergers are not all like that.

I know a few people with Aspergers who are complete fuckers. Let's not make generalisations, ya?
------- Massive, epic adventure, multi-coloured, multi-layered. Sort of two/three dimensional Wizard of Oz for the future.

my (biological) dad's brother and sister are both mentally disabled: i'm not sure what my uncle has, and my aunt is severely autistic. no i've never been able to spend a great amount of time with them, my uncle is almost non-functional and has a very bad temper, which has only become worse at his progressing age (the two of them are probably pushing 50 by now). my aunt isn't as bad, but since she is autistic she doesn't say much... she is also legally blind. she still recognizes me though if i do see her. most of the time that she's there at my grandparents' house with her brother (which is during holidays, they live in a group home otherwise) she is listening to the radio in her old room. she loves music. lots of 60s stuff. anyway, i'm not afraid of them per se, although i certainly was when i was younger. strangers who are mentally disabled, i have no real idea how i feel, i'm not scared or anything. they're just... different. i always wonder what's going on in their minds Post edited at 2:55 am on July 20, 2008 by charolastra
