I guess you could say I've been flirting with this girl called Jen I like. It all started when I mentioned there was this girl I like. I just kept saying that she knew her well, and I wasn't sure whether the feelings were reciprocated. As this was all through messenger, (and not face to face), she didn't work it out (or if she did, she was playing dumb). The thing is, I don't have long till I leave now, and I sort of want to break the news. I mean, I know she's not looking for commitment with someone at the moment, but that's cool because I can do both: serious relationships, and casual ones. We're going out tonight, but with a group of people, so might be awkward. Then again, whenever I have tried to meet up alone, she's always been with people, or has invited them along too.

If she invites other people, she probably doesn't think you want to start anything. Or maybe she's not interested.
Tell her how you feel. If she says no and you guys feel awkward, just say you like another girl and talk about "the other girl". Eventually, you guys'll be in the "friends zone" again, and you wont feel weird.
