I should have been clearer, I mean what should you do with a bible that's been made unusable/unreadable as in its been chewed up by rats or had ink or something split on it.

In my personal opinion - recycle the paper, or keep it anyway (but I keep weird stuff). It looks like the "proper" way is turning out to be "bury it," though.
