I don't know, my friend has it and she takes an inhaler EVERYWHERE.

lately (this year) in soccer ( i made the team :) ) Every time i run or play in a game usually in 2-5 minutes, my chest tightens up, and it gets real hard to breath. I don't wheeze but in between my right middle ribs it feels like some one is stabbing me...And of course i just figured i was out of shape and then as a team we decided to run a mile together...bad mistake...By midway i felt as if i was being shot in my lungs and an elephant was sitting on my chest it was really hard to breath and my chest felt extremely tight. as soon as we finished i fell to the ground and i couldn't get up. and i was crying it hurt so bad... and the chest tightness stayed for the whole night...

Now it seems to be getting worse...

Sometimes even when I'm just walking to class i start to get that chest pain, and that's basically an indicator that if i don't sit down, I'm going to start having trouble breathing too... And almost every time when I'm about to have trouble breathing or something, My right ribs start to hurt EXTREMELY bad.

and now like right now after like 4 hours after practice my chest feels tight and my heart hurts...

I think i may have EIA like my friend but my family thinks I'm making it up in my head, and won't schedule an appointment with the doctor..Are they right?

what do you think...

EDIT: oh and the rib pains usually stay for the whole time i'm playing and go away about after 10-20 minutes of rest...

the chest pains...not so much.

P.S. I'm only 13 so no i can't go to the doctor by myself.

I think its really rotten of them that they won't even take you in for a check-up.

I'd call and see if you can schedule your own appointment, and then make them take you. Those symptoms sound very similar to asthma.
