that within a first sip of beer, I get an almost instantaneous buzz that relatively quickly wears off... is that a placebo?
like im drinking this beer and as soon as i swallowed just a little bit i already kind of felt it but I feel like this is impossible and my mind is just playing tricks on me

must be placebo, it wouldn't have even hit your bloodstream in that sort of time frame, let alone enough to actually have an affect.
