What good qualities should a leader have?

He should be proud of his heritage but wanting to change certain things about his country.
He should reflect on past decisons of his country whether they were right or wrong.

What qualities would you want.

um.  Hitler's views and policies were wrong but he was among the greatest leaders of the modern era.

He manages to convince and entire country to abandon their morals and ethics and then led them on a conquest which nearly united all of europe under one flag. Something that has NEVER been done before.

As wrong as his ideas were the way he implemented them was undeniably brilliant

This.  Radical reform is good, but for a country, radical reform is another word for anarchy.  
And someone who is willing to own up to his mistakes, should he make them.  I'm much more impressed with someone who is willing to take the heat for his actions than someone who claims to never make mistakes.
