Writing a Love song.

There is a babe that i've got a MEGA crush on. She knows.
She was feeling sad the otherday and she was confiding in me. I said "how about i write you a song?" and she said "Yeah, thatd be really nice." Ok, so i've written a song for her and about her.. But its a love song.. I don't 'love' her. I wrote it based on the feelings i get when im around her etc. The tune is pretty cool, all using Minor progressions (my style). thing is, i don't know how i can sing it to her.. I'm woried she'll get weird about it.. She's heard me play guitar before and sing, she said im good.. (i've been playing guitar for 10 years and i do backing voacls in my band) what can i do about the song? Should i sing it to her anyway and take a risk..? Thanks heaps.

You probably don't want to use minor keys for a love song. Major keys generally sound "happier" and so are usually more suited for love songs.
