Kim Jong-il (also written as Kim Jong Il) (born February 16, 1941, Vyatskoye, Soviet Union; official biographies state February 16, 1942, Baekdu Mountain, Japanese Korea) is the leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. He is the Chairman of the National Defense Commission, Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army, and General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (the ruling party since 1948). He succeeded his father Kim Il-sung, founder of North Korea, who died in 1994, and commands the fourth largest standing army in the world. North Korea officially refers to him as the "Dear Leader". (when they say "korea" they mean north korea as in the one that wants nukes to blow the united states and south korea off the map) Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin (Russian: Влади́мир Влади́мирович Пу́тин?·i Russian pronunciation: [vlɐˈdʲimʲɪr vlɐˈdʲimʲɪrəvʲɪt͡ɕ ˈputʲɪn]) (born October 7, 1952 in Leningrad, USSR; now Saint Petersburg, Russia) is a Russian politician who was the 2nd President of the Russian Federation (from 2000 to 2008) and is the current Prime Minister of Russia as well as chairman of United Russia and Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Union of Russia and Belarus. He became acting President on December 31, 1999, succeeding Boris Yeltsin, and then won the 2000 presidential election. In 2004, he was re-elected for a second term lasting until May 7, 2008. (this doesn't say much i am aware) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vladimir_Putin if that doesn't help i can have a full length discussion with you about why he is a bad and oppressive leader.

Completely and utterly untrue. Both Koreas have had the long term goal of reuniting back together with their government in power since the Korean War. Since this can't happen through any sort of compromise or anything (which I'd imagine many Koreans would like to do) mainly due to the fact that the US keeps many of its troops in South Korea, North Korea believes that it is its duty to liberate the South Koreans from American imperialism. Destroying South Korea is the last thing North Korea wants to do, and nuking it would be perhaps the stupidest thing it could possibly do considering that the fallout would hit back home in North Korea just as hard. Moreover, hitting a few west coast cities and Hawaii with nukes is hardly wiping the US off the map. It's not even wiping those cities off the map (considering that every city nuked thus far has recovered considerably well). Contrary to popular belief, a few nukes would not mean the end of a nation, or even the end of a city. It'd mean a shitload of deaths, but not sending that nation back to the stone age. You'd have to shower every inch of that nation with a nuke in order to achieve anything like that. Post edited at 6:51 pm on July 21, 2008 by Bud2400
