I've heard that Heath Ledger's death was attributed to his role as the Joker in the Dark Knight. It had to do with him not being able to leave character, that he was stuck with a Joker personality and no clue how to get rid of it. Out of desperation, he wanted to see if taking meds could cure him, but OD'd accidentally.

Anyone wanna tell me if it's true?

I actually heard that he got stressed from playing the role and couldn't sleep, so he took some sleeping pills and kept taking them until he could fall asleep, but they caught up with him and killed him. I was hoping it was a joke when they said he died, like he was playing dead for the role and going to pop up alive today, but no :{

I read a article that Vern Troyer (mini me) did about a movie he was making with Heath when he died. He said he was one of the happiest souls. All he talked about was counting down the days till he got to see his little girl.

So yes, I believe that the joker had a BIIIIG part in Heath's death
