I'm thinking about becoming Jewish, and so would like to read the Torah. The only problem being is that I don't know if there is a version in English or not. Does any one know if there is?

i guess there is an Eng version..it should be !..but it's strange to me,it's the 1 time when i see someone who want to convert to Judaism ..i don't mean anything you're totally free to chose whatever religion you'd follow..to get back to what I was saying, all holy books (religious books)-Torah,bible,Qur'an are the most translated books ! so an Eng version should exist

do you have a bible at home? Look up THE OLD TESTAMENT.

The Old Testament is the Tanakh, containing the Torah.

Read The Tanakh instead. It is the entire Jewish bible. The Torah is simply the first five books of The Tanakh. And yes, there are English translations all over the place. Amazon, Google, I'm sure any major bookstore in your area would carry them.

Never seen somebody convert to Judaism before. All the Jewish people I know were raised that way.
