This isn't something to make a snap judgment on. From the way you described it, it is hard to remember precisely how it happened. If you said you weren't sure and then proceeded to act as if you were, then it might be understandable to you, but perhaps not forgivable, that he acted the way he did. If you feel violated, if you feel taken advantage of, if you feel that he disregarded what you said and how you behaved and you were just too intimidated to stop him, then what he did could very well be neither understandable nor forgivable.
