Okay, I was on the bus today going home(I'm a girl.) Some people in the back of the bus were talking, and while I was talking to the girl beside me, I heard some of their convo. I heard one of them say my name wrong, asking if I had any gum, but I pretended I didn't hear him because I really don't like him. Then a girl was like, "I know you did not just call her ______. Her name is ________!" And then I guess, they thought I couldn't hear them, so this black guy that I thought was okay(I'm white), was like, "I'm sorry, but I think she is _____." Or something. I really didn't think anything of it until everyone in the back of the bus was like "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Really loud, and then when someone asked what they were saying, The guy was like, "I didn't say it."(He did.) "We're talking about the girl beside the guy in the red shirt(I was that girl.) And then he said something, I thought sounded like rat-face, but i'm not sure. #1-I already have bad self-confidence. I try to think i'm pretty but everytime I seem to let myself feel better, it's like someone else has to go and knock me down again. This is just another blow.
#2-I actually do think i'm pretty. And I don't even have a rat-face, I don't have a pointy noise or beady little eyes or whiskers or anything like that.
#3-I thought me and this guy were okay. I never even did anything to the little bitch. I know i'm just being a big crybaby and I should grow up, but that really hurt. I don't see the point in even trying to look good if assholes are just going to say that about me when I'm RIGHT THERE.
I hate,HATE, high-school.

Honestly, its just highschool and you cant do much but walk away, not take it personally or stand up for yourself. You also have to remember your mentality is most important. Dont worry about other peoples words and thoughts. Your opinion matters because you know the truth, and you know your own story, and who you are and who you want to be.
You could try talking to him, and tell him not to be a jerk, but it might or might not help.
