i cant fall asleep til around 5am every nite and usually have to wake up 7 or 8 and that leads me to believe i have insomnia

No, but I went down on a certain medication that causes extreme drowsiness and was causing me to sleep 13 hours a day. Consequently I have been having trouble falling asleep and adjusting to needing less sleep now that I take less of this medication.

I have insomnia and also delayed sleep phase syndrome. I take the hypnotic Halcion (triazolam) for it.
