good advice. although, i did it alone and it was alright. keep in mind you will probably be pretty noisy - be it laughing or just tripping, so make sure there's no one around that you wouldn't want hearing you.

Rules of thumb for using:
Have a sitter.
Be in a comfortable place.
Be in good company, meaning close friends only.
No authority figures.
Use a torch lighter and hold the flame on the bowl the entire time you inhale.  Bic's work but not as well.
A bong is the best way of smoking it because the smoke is hot but it is not necessary.
Hit it, hold for as long as possible, exhale, hit it again, hold, set the piece down, and exhale, then just sit back within seconds you will be gone.
