how many people you know drink drive?

several people i know, even my friend. have or do drive after they have been drinking. its not usually when they are wasted, someone would usually stop them.
but everyone knows even if someone has had a few drinks and they drive it can be dangerous.
its not that they are risking their own life, its the other people who are on the road.
i just dont get how people can actually do it and laugh about it later and not even care.
does anyone else's friends do this?? im try to tell people to stop

Yeah. I know so many people who do, but I've only ridden with three who were drunk.
I usually do tell them they shouldn't drive and I won't go with them unless it's the only way.

My boyfriend used to drink drive every time we were out drinking at a party or something and wanted to go home.

He never got caught, but I know it was a very stupid thing for me to let him drive me home while under the influence, although he seemed to be able to drive just fine.

Too many people think 'theyre fine' and 'wont be caught' - its stupidity at its most glorious!

There are rules surrounding drink driving for a reason.

Too many people die or suffer major accidents because of drink drivers.

Id never do it, nor get into a car with someone who intends to

I wouldn't allow my friends to do it, and I know I'm not their keeper but if it's going to put others lives in danger they are either gonna drive with someone sober, take a cab, or their asses can take the bus haha.

No need to put yourself and others in danger, even if they aren't super drunk it can still fuck you over.

I'll walk home if the only available ride is drunk/high. I'll try to steal their keys, too, but I'm too tiny and they beat me up.

I hate when people do it, so so much. I've lost a lot of respect for a lot of people because of it.

Due to my addiction to alcohol I used to drink and drive all the time and never had an accident. Now that I have all these doctors prescribing me benzos and other heavy tranquilizers I take them instead of getting too drunk, so I could concentrate and not have shaky hands.

a few years ago, i never knew anyone that drove drunk but now i'm starting to realize that a lot of people do it and it's ridiculous because these are my friends now and they could die almost any night

Tons of people I know drink and drive and it makes me extremely anxious because I don't want to have anything to do with any sour consequences. If I drink, I bring a full Aero-bed mattress and sleep over (when permitted and previously arranged) so I won't have to get behind the wheel. But almost all my friends will drive at least slightly intoxicated (but enough to impair judgement).
