I was wondering if depressed people, occasionally have a day where they are happy? I mean people with long term depression.

Sounds like a stupid question but i really don't know.

If yes, how often ?

Sometimes there are days when I am in a good mood. I don't know if it would be considered happiness though.

Sometimes.  It's rare but usually feel like shit at somepoint in the day anyway.  Even if its not a happy day, im glad the day wasnt as bad as it could be.

I have ups and downs I guess.

Before my wife left I would certianly have good days, yes. If we made a real effort to go out and have fun then yes, sure I could have a good day or even a whole good week. However as soon as the distraction was gone I was left with all my old problems and things were shit again.

The last few weeks have been hell for me, but I had one really good morning when I got a present in the mail from WigAOK9 and Kira. It was a personal gift and a thoughtful one and I was on the hone to Kira at the time and it made my day. Doesn't mean I'm not feeling shit again 12 hours later.

So sure, you can have ups. They just don't tend to last.

W l im on happy meds so most of my "happiness" is all fake.
Before i got put on the meds i wouldn't really have any goog days ...just little moments i guess.But they don't tend to last for more than a few minutes.
Sometimes i can get by, by smiling at myself in the mirror. But when you are depressed, most smiles are real.
