i just got a kayak for christmas, and this week was the first time we've taken it up and used it. and holy shit, going a mile or two in that thing tires you out. i can barely move my arms.  

anyone else kayak?

oh, and i haven't tried it in a river yet, just up and down the shores of a lake

Wait till the river has 2 foot waves.  Now that is some fun shit right there.  Painful the next day, but well worth it.  I haven't been out in about two months now.  Me and my own buddy were going to go every weekend but it's been entirely too hot and our schedules conflict now a days.

well given that its the 4th weekend, theres plenty of wake from speedboats, but i dont think 2 feet. still, waves in general are sort of a challenge. fun though.
