Have you failed to ever read any of my posts in the Animals & Environment forum? I've had more than a lot of different types of pets. Dogs, cats, rodents, farm animals, my dad and I bred both fish and birds. I've even had a pet opossum. I know what it is like to have a pet with a short life expectancy and a long one.
But that doesn't make a difference when you have a pet that has had a significant impact on your life. And any pet can, whether it be a hamster or a dog.

I apologize, I failed to do a background check on you and your past pets. I was merely pointing out that birds have a longer lifespan than hamsters, giving you more time to bond with the animal. Sorry for your loss though. How long ago was it? And have you replaced it yet?

I don't 'replace' pets.
I had a rat that I bought while I still had her. But, as my thread in the A&E forum says now, he's sick with bumble-foot at the moment.
