I've been with my boyfriend for a year now (we're adults...19 & 20, and in college)...

The two of us have so much in common...we've both always loved to do the same things: go to the movie, eat at the same place, whatever.

But doing the same ol' routine only works for so long...and I think its time for a change, something new. Well, its BEEN time for something new.

The thing is...whenever that is suggested, he will agree. But his something new involves Art-sy stuff (museums, etc).... and mine involves more 'thrilling' stuff (sky diving, bungee, etc). When we want to do something new, we can't agree on it....so it's always the same thing that we can agree on: movie, dinner, swimming...

I love doing that...but I need a change...and I think he wants a change too...but I'm not sure how to get there. We both agreed that we'd LOVE to take a road trip together. However, he is so stuck up his parents' butts and afraid of what they will say, so we can't.

If you two are adults, his parents don't have any control and he shouldn't have to worry about what they have to say.  I think a road trip would be awesome.

Do you like baseball? A friend of mine and I are planning on taking a roadtrip to try to see every stadium in the country next summer.

You guys should try it. It would be a blast.

you need to tell him its about time to explain to his parents he is an adult now, so if he wants to go with you on a roadtrip, that is what he will do.

Its been suggested...but...I hate museums a lot. When I get in one, I want out right away.

He's chicken. He would never go bungee jumping.

you two have to be comfortable trying different things just for the sake of doing them with your partner.  dont seek specific activities that you would prefer.  this is what causes the boredom in the first place. do anything & everything

Nooo baseball! His friend invited us to a baseball game the other day... my boyfriend and I both nearly ran away because the thing was so boring!

Well he still lives at home with them. They're funding EVERYTHING for him--college, gas money, etc. He's not gonna get rid of them just like that.

And also--he's the youngest of 3. So he has always been close to his parents, as they have with him...

Gah, seriously? It might not be the fastest-paced game, but to me, it's still a blast to watch.

Yeah--it was pretty bad. It was the Texas Rangers vs. Philadelphia. He's not much of a sports person anyways...and I'm more of an ice hockey person!
